ABOUT US
Jack D. Hurd
I was born in Texas to trial lawyers Charles and Jill Hurd. As a result, I remember many dinner table conversations about trials, cases, and legal theories, and I determined at a young age that I should become a trial lawyer.
After graduating from law school, I worked in the Abilene office of a large personal injury firm for three years. I left that firm to build my own personal injury law practice within another firm, but I eventually found that starting my own firm was the only way to create a legal practice that suits my beliefs and preferences. That is when J.D. Hurd Law, PLLC was founded.
This law firm's core values are:
Personal care and attention to every client's case;
Open and honest communication with clients; and
Fearless and aggressive advocacy.
I prefer to maintain a low number of cases on my docket at any given time so I can give every client's case the attention it deserves. I give clients my cell phone number because I want to be accessible, and I want clients to feel comfortable talking to me casually. I believe this approach distinguishes me from many other trial law firms. I also love when past clients contact me to let me know how they are doing, and I am always honored when they give my information to a friend or family member who needs help.
